Let Your Baby Touch Spring

Take me outside! Take me out of the stroller or sling and let me touch spring!

Let me feel grass on my skin.

It prickles.

It tickles. It makes me curl my toes.

Let me reach out with one finger to touch this eye-popping, velvety red azalea.

I love it.

I love this leaf so much I want to pull it off, put it in my mouth, and find out more about it.

I bring my hands together, gently, gently, to touch these candle-like blossoms.

I stroke these soft iris blades.

And when you bring lilac close to me, I am amazed. Light, softness, and fragrance. I'm going to need a nap after this. And my dreams are going to be breathtaking.

This adorable little butterball is my nephew and Godson. I love him. Take your baby outside like his Daddy did, and let him touch spring.

These are the sweetest pictures! I love the one of him sitting in the iris, they look like huge blades of grass around little baby.
I thought you might like this picture, our youngest one on the forest floor when she was still a baby... http://heirloomseasons.blogspot.com/2010/04/this-moment.html

Oh the joys of summers gone.
Freedom.
My kids love outside and if I go a day or two without our evening walk, believe me, they let me know.
Great pics

babies are such little scientists...exploring the world around them without hesitation, using all of their senses! This post envokes images of my own sweet little babe roaming our yard, touching, tasting, smelling and being in awe of everything! Bless these little babes, (little teachers in disguise)

Yes, babies are like little scientists, aren't they? Watching a baby explore the outdoors reminds me to use all of my senses when I "look" at something, too. A baby is doing what artists like to do, as well. When you draw something you have to spend a lot of time studying it, examining its many amazing details. This is one way we can re-experience the wonder of having it all be so new and remarkable, as it is for a baby. love, Beth
