Roll Cookies

Roll cookies aren't just for Christmas.

If you're tempted to direct your child when they are doing something creative, you need to do something creative of your own.

Make sure you use enough sugar!

Dear Beth,

Since we're on the road I don't get much time to check in. Love the strawberry picking, LOVE your studio pics, and of course the cookie project. My grands adore making them any time of the year. Sprinkles are the biggest hit of all. Every cupboard needs a vast array of them.

Sending Love,

lol, good advice! I keep my Self chattering about the reasons behind the things we are doing, like:
The reason we use room temperature butter when we cream the butter and sugar is because...

We just made Chocolate chip cookies and used a Star shaped cookie sheet mold to bake them.

I love the last photo of the cookie drowning in sugar!
I suck at roll cookies... it is my weak spot. I wish I could do it, but somehow the dough always breaks apart when I try to lift the cookies up to transfer them to the baking sheet.
