Our Switzerland

After days and days of hard work, trying to make our house look as neat and perfect as an untidy artist can manage, it is a tonic to look at these pictures again and think of where we will be living in about four months!  There are many hills to climb and many joys and sunshiny days and fun times with friends and family to celebrate before then, but one day not too far off, I will be standing on this mountaintop again, my arms spread wide, my spirit soaring.

Wonderful pictures which have reawakened memories of holidays in Switzerland spent with my husband & two sons in the late 1970's. When I eventually sort myself out with a Blog I shall write about those times.............

I have family in Neuchatel, Switzerland and some of my fondest memories are of the time I've spent there. What a lovely place to live!

My first contact with Switzerland as a child was Heidi, too- in the Japanese cartoon version first, I'm afraid, then the book. I'm sure you'll find plenty of inspiration there, but what a change!!!

Is that purple flower Enzian? Or how do you spell it? Wow, your photos are absolutely amazing. They take me back 15 years or so, to a not-so-far-away Alpine place - Oesterreich!

Beth dear, I am DUMBSTRUCK. Absolutely heart achingly lovely. Of course Heidi had so much to do with my feelings for Switzerland (and Sound of Music), but my Great Grandfather Feller and my Grandma came from Switzerland in the late 1800s. I wish I knew where they came FROM and I would go visit.

This is a dream trip for me and thanks to you I feel a little closer to the dream.

All joys,
