Gruyere

La Grue is the crane.  It gives its name to the beautiful little village of Gruyere, and the cheese which is made there.

It's fun to look for the many images of cranes which you can find in Gruyere.  How many do you see?

Looks as if you have settled down well in Switzerland. Lovely shots of La Grue.

Oh, Beth, your photos are making me miss Europe so much! Can I just slip myself into your camera bag and travel with you a bit...?

Lovely. I especially like the first picture with the mountain hiding up in the clouds. Take care.

Thanks, Rosemary and Appleshoe! Anushka, I wish I HAD taken a picture of yummy Gruyere. My daughter and I visited the cheese factory and learned so much. As the cheese ages, salt water is rubbed on it. We tasted new cheese, "medium" cheese, and the more aged cheese. I liked the "medium" or mi-sale cheese the most. Delicious. Life is indeed wonderful. Nadja...maybe it is a time to visit Europe again? love, Beth
