...and a winter hat for another little niece. (This is to replace a white angora hat I made her when she was a baby. She's now three and loves it so much she still stretches it onto her head!) This hat is made of two yarns stranded together. I hand-painted the small-gauge merino which is mixed with the bubblegum pink wool.
This little silk and wool blue jean colored hat is for their baby brother, my Godson. It is resting on top of the little zippered jacket I made him. The hat and jacket both announce, "I am a boy!" so that there will be no more mistakes about that!
This is his Christening present, a new design I tried using a dearly-loved retired cashmere sweater of mine. I usually make my bunting dolls with outspread arms. I wanted this one to look the way a tiny baby looks when he is sleeping, with his little fists curled up next to his face. I may make some more for my etsy shop, primroses, using some more wonderful reclaimed sweaters.

OH BETH,
I love the knitting, but the dolls just chatter with me. They are so full of life and love. What a gift you have.

Handmade is just so wonderful Beth - those hats are great, and that doll is truly special.
