Flower Basket

My mother-in-law is amazing at creating beautiful bouquets. She picked all these flowers from the wild hedge near our houses and from her garden. I love the bold way she combines pinks and oranges.

Looking at this bouquet reminded me of Gabriele's wonderful posting about floral design. Gabriele is a floral designer in Japan. If you want to check out her special posting, "Flower Color Journey" this is a wonderful time to try out her ideas. Just click on the title of this post.

I love the orange flower with flowers inside. Do you know what it is? It's lovely. Take care.

Appleshoe, I believe those are zinnias (the orange flower you asked about).

That is such a cheerful bouquet, I just love how lush it is!

Dear Beth,
your mother-in-law did such a beautiful arrangement! Again, for me, a proof, how flowers do teach us the way of color combinations! Look at the pink hue in the Zinnia ( which is the orange flower with little yellow "flowers" inside, dear Appleshoe!). It leads directly to the pink Zinnia. And the yellow Solidaster speaks with the little yellow stars inside the blossoms, oh, I love these clor jumps!
Thank you, Beth, for mentioning my guest blog, it was my pleasure to write for you!
In Sweden, we visited a private garden and the lady there mentioned exactly the same thoughts for her way of planting flowers, I was so happy to have found another color addict! Soon you will find this part on my blog, I am busy with updating in the moment.
Have a nice late summer and best greetings to your MIL!

I am a florist and I just love the way you describe your flowers, sometimes when you work with them so much you forget how beautiful they are.
