The Best Toy in the World

I think the best toy in the world is a swing. Here is a picture of my daughter, swinging on a school swing near her college during early spring. Bare feet touching the blue sky, arms stretched, hair flying, eyes taking in an upside-down view of the world....swinging combines fun with a sense of barely-controlled danger. We almost feel as though we are flying. When was the last time you had a ride on a swing? Do you remember when you first pumped? Do you remember trying to touch tree leaves high overhead with your saddle shoes/mary janes/moccasins/deck shoes/tennis shoes/rain boots? Or your death-defying leap from the top of the arc?
