Finished Crazy Quilt!

It's finished! With hand quilting in the squares and around the red border...

rectangles, hearts, squares, and circles.

I tested it for coziness, and it got a high rating.

Then I installed hugs, many, many of them, for my daughter to feel when she cuddles in her blanket which we made together.

LOVE LOVE LOVE it Beth. GLORIOUS colors!

I really miss quilting. I have been wanting to make a long colorful Amish wallhanging, to hang on the wall down our hallway so we can see it from a distance and it will *glow*.
I guess I should just get the fabric and get started! so much to do and learn . . .and spring
(with all its outdoor projects) is on its way! It's all good :)

happy day!

I've been hand stitching my first quilt, using hexagons. Not quite finished, but almost there. Anyway, I can now fully appreciate, with new eyes, the love and care that goes into a handmade quilt. Yours is beautiful and, I'm sure, will give your daughter such comfort.

Wow, Cheryl. I didn't do the whole thing by hand. I used a machine to do some of the quilting, and combined it with some hand stitching. That was a good combination for me...I actually finished it after working on it off and on with my daughter for a couple of years! Good for you....keep at it, you are making something very special.
